The RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning meets the FCA’s qualification requirements for retail investment advisers, developing core technical knowledge and financial planning capabilities across six core areas.
This qualification enables professional advisers to develop specialist planning capabilities, covers topics such as: personal tax and trust, business financial, pension and investment planning.
The life and pensions route builds knowledge and understanding of the sector’s role and its activities. It considers important customer needs, solutions and products, and how individuals and organisations work within the regulatory and legislative environment.
This level 3 award develops the knowledge and understanding of long-term care cover, including legal, taxation and regulatory issues and the responsibilities of local authorities.
This qualification focuses on pension reforms and how they affect advice, including the new legislative, compliance and reporting requirements.
The Diploma is the high-quality route to meet the standards required for providing financial advice. The programme is designed to reflect the role of an IFA, providing individuals with a thorough understanding and the practical skills to apply in practice.
Get to know John
I’ve worked in the financial sector since 1990 and have a wealth of experience across all areas of financial planning. I specialise in giving pension and investment advice in a friendly, straightforward manner. I take great pride in maintaining long-term relationships by considering the ongoing service to be just as important as the initial transaction.
I love helping people and being able to add value to their current situation. There’s nothing better than building up relationships with clients and helping them achieve the future they want.
Outside of work
I love socialising with family and friends and look forward to spending time with them all either at home, on holiday, or meeting up for something to eat.
I also like to spend time with my pet dog and I really enjoy walking with her throughout the year.
My passion and hobby is cycling, and I can often be seen riding around the Lincolnshire countryside with friends. I regularly take on cycling challenges and have completed several events both at home and abroad.
