Flying Colours is a fast-growing independent financial adviser services organisation. We are looking for a paraplanner to join our team in either Bracknell, Liverpool, or Lincoln. The role is full-time but we are happy to consider part-time.

What will your role entail?

  • Accurately prepare suitability reports and letters to target deadlines
  • Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with relevant paperwork
  • Undertake comparative research in preparation of client recommendations
  • Complete technical research as part of the existing arrangement review process
  • Perform tax planning analysis
  • Produce and analyse cashflow modelling
  • Understand clients’ overall financial position from independent financial adviser (IFA) fact-finds
  • Discuss client objectives with the relevant IFA, identifying and obtaining necessary client information to prepare the required suitability checks
  • Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses given
  • Conduct annual reviews in line with service level agreements
  • Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Principle and Rules at all times.
  • Delivering good client outcomes, comply with the relevant compliance, terms and conditions, and financial crime procedures (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud, and corruption) of the firm at all times.
  • Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative, and technical changes.
  • Attain and maintain a level of competence as required
  • Maintain all standards of performance as required by Flying Colours
  • Ensure relevant continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained and recorded accurately

 What credentials will you have?

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organising and planning
