As we reach the end of another remarkable year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve achieved together at Flying Colours in 2025. It’s been a year of growth, milestones, and commitment to helping our clients plan for a brighter financial future.
Growing our team
One of the highlights of our year has been welcoming 10 brilliant new people to the Flying Colours family. The majority of these roles sit within our operational team, supporting the adviser team to deliver exceptional service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to building a team that shares our values of respect, empowerment, and genuine care for our clients’ financial wellbeing.
Celebrating excellence
Throughout the year, we recognised outstanding contributions from members of our team through our Employee of the Quarter awards. Congratulations to Aoife Brunt (Group HR Manager), Brioney Lee (Paraplanner), Celeste Garib (Head of Marketing), Tom Elia (Administrator), and Mel Preston (Head of Paraplanning) for their exceptional work. These awards highlight the dedication and expertise that make Flying Colours such a special place to work and a trusted partner for our clients.
Making a difference
We’re incredibly proud to have raised £11,236.17 for Young Lives vs Cancer during 2025. At Flying Colours, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and this achievement reflects the generosity and commitment of our entire team. Supporting charitable causes is an important part of our company culture, and we’re grateful to everyone who contributed to making this happen.
Connecting with clients
This year, we attended six Business Expos around the UK, giving us the opportunity to meet potential clients face-to-face and share our approach to financial planning. We’re delighted that six lucky prize winners went home with Fortnum & Mason wine hampers—a small token of appreciation for taking the time to learn more about how we can help with their financial goals.
Building trust through reviews
This year, we have received 119 new reviews on VouchedFor and Trustpilot. These reviews consistently highlighted what matters most to clients: good communication, invaluable help, and providing understanding. Reading feedback reminds us why we do what we do and motivates us to continue delivering the highest standard of financial advice and service.
Industry recognition
We were honoured to be finalists for six awards across four ceremonies this year, and we’re thrilled to have won two of them, including Best Paraplanning Service. While awards aren’t the reason we come to work each day, they do serve as external validation of our team’s expertise and the quality of advice we provide. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.
Helping people get Retirement Ready
A significant milestone this year was helping 1,395 new people discover their Retirement Ready score. That’s enough people to fill 20 double-decker buses! Our Retirement Ready tool helps individuals understand where they stand in their retirement planning journey and identify areas where they might need additional support. We’re passionate about making retirement planning accessible and understandable, and this tool has been instrumental in starting important conversations about financial preparedness.
Understanding financial personalities
We also helped 218 people discover their financial personality through our financial personality quiz. The results were fascinating: 31.19% identified as Balanced Builders, 24.31% as Purposeful Planners, 22.48% as Spontaneous Spenders, and 22.02% as Safety Savers. Understanding your financial personality is the first step toward making financial decisions that align with your values and goals, and we were pleased to help so many people gain this insight.
Sharing knowledge
Financial education has always been important to us at Flying Colours. This year, we hosted seven webinars on a variety of financial topics, providing learning and knowledge to 1,666 people. These sessions covered everything from retirement planning to investment strategies, offering our audience practical guidance they could apply to their own financial situations.
We also published 87 articles and videos on our website and YouTube channel. Our most popular article this year was Your Autumn Budget update, and what it means for you, which addressed real questions and concerns about the Autumn Budget from our clients and readers. On the video front, our most watched was What’s Your Why for Retirement?
We’re committed to creating content that not only informs but also empowers you to make confident financial decisions.
Listening to our clients
Our annual client survey provided invaluable insights into how we’re performing. The results speak volumes: 96% of clients believe working with us has helped or will help them achieve their financial goals, while 99% are satisfied with the speed of response from their adviser. We’re also particularly proud that 100% of respondents are satisfied with the friendliness of our team, and 99% with our professionalism.
When it comes to value for money, 97% feel satisfied with the service they receive. Perhaps most encouragingly, 62% of our clients have already recommended us to friends, family, and colleagues! There’s no greater compliment than a personal recommendation.
These results don’t just make us proud; they inspire us to maintain these high standards and continue improving wherever we can.
Looking ahead to 2026
As we close out 2025, we’re excited about what lies ahead. We’ll continue to invest in technology, develop our team, expand our services, and find new ways to support you in achieving your financial goals. Whether you’re planning for retirement, managing your investments, or thinking about your legacy, we’re here to provide the expert guidance and personal service you deserve.
