Paul & Tracey

Paul:
Hi, my name is Paul, and this is my wife, Tracey. I’ve known Flying Colours and dealt with them for about seven years.

Tracey:

We looked for a financial adviser because Paul had various pensions. I’ve also got various pensions, so we wanted to look at the best ways of moving towards our retirement and what we could do with it. We met Nick and he worked through various options with us.

The best piece of advice Nick has given us as a couple, which was something that we wouldn’t have known was available or even considered, was when Paul took out his large company pension to take out a separate life assurance policy because Paul’s annuity would only pay out for a limited number of years when Paul died. So, we paid into the life assurance and that gives me the security that once Paul has died, I will get paid out for a much longer period of time than I would have done with his company pension.

Paul:

Working with Flying Colours gave us confidence. If we hadn’t met Flying Colours and Nick, we would not have had the same confidence, or we wouldn’t have planned three times as well as we have done. So, it’s been a bonus.

Tracey:

Nick is good at making you feel comfortable. He is knowledgeable about his business, he has a good sense of humour, he relaxes you, and he makes you feel comfortable that you’re doing the right thing and that you’re making choices about what you do with your money and your future.

The best thing about working with Nick and Flying Colours is that he listens to what we want as a couple, advises us, and doesn’t make judgements. He’s just a really nice guy. Nick is always available if you email him or give him a call; he’s there and he gets back to us as soon as possible, and sometimes you need that reassurance.

Paul:

I would recommend Flying Colours and Nick to other people, and I think we have at this stage recommended Nick to some friends of ours.
