Get to know Gareth

I have been working in a financial services environment since 2003, working for independent financial advisers across many different roles. I joined Flying Colours in 2016 as the administration team manager and in 2018, I moved across to work within the compliance department dealing with complaints, business quality reviews, and general queries. I help to ensure that we meet the ongoing requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority on a day-to-day basis.

Outside of work

Outside of work, I like catching up with friends and family. I’ve always enjoyed supporting my local football team, but lately I’ve really started to enjoy rugby and following Harlequins.

What do love about your job?
There are many things that I like, but I mostly enjoy the investigative nature of the job.
What do you love about Flying Colours?
This has to be the friendliest of teams across all departments and branches.
Absolute loves
I’ve always enjoyed being in Cornwall, mainly St Ives, because of the food and the scenery. Over the past few years, I’ve really got into rugby and following Harlequins.
Pet hates
This must be roadworks. Or reaching the end of a good TV series and having to wait over a year to find out what happens next.
