Get to know Andrew
I’ve worked in financial services for 15 years. I studied Business Finance and Economics at university in Edinburgh and went on to work for major pension and investment companies. I then relocated to London and continued my career working in the City.
I’m an expert in retirement and investment planning, and specialise in helping clients plan for and work towards their financial goals and objectives.
I’m passionate about helping those starting their financial journeys, as well as those who are further on in their careers. I love to meet new people and learn how they’ve got to where they are in life. I enjoy helping clients build and maintain their wealth, as well as navigating them through the complex minefields of their pensions and current market conditions.
To me, it’s important to highlight the positive things clients have achieved as well as addressing the areas of improvement. I enjoy showing potential clients how I can add value to their goals. I believe there’s no time like the present to make improvements to your financial health.
Outside of work
I love to cook, Mediterranean and seafood mainly, an influence from my mother’s side. I am a music lover, and love searching for new music and listening to records both old and new.
I also like to climb mountains in Scotland and the rest of the UK. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and run as often as I can, but have to force myself at times to get out there. I also play football in a power league with friends, and have dabbled with clay pigeon shooting. I am passionate about motorsport and annually attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed. I have travelled as far as Fiji and the Philippines.
In summer, I play a fair bit of golf and try to improve my handicap.
My wife is from Stratford-upon-Avon where I am now based, but I regularly travel south to London and the Home Counties and back to Edinburgh.
